From 5 April 2024 the Greenwood Capsite will close.

Thank you to all our customers over the last 41 years.




Greenwood Campsite is a Camping & Caravanning Club "Hideaway" site for Adult only members of the Camping and Caravanning Club


This is in the New Forest National Park at the village of Bashley on the B3058 road approx 2 miles from  New Milton, Hampshire.


The site is flat and has electric hookups on all pitches. Hard standing are available for motor caravans, these are used for caravans in inclement weather when the grass pitches are not in use.


We have a small toilet block with toilet facilities and one shower. there is a small charge for the use of the shower.


Burley-Villa riding school is adjacent to our property, (some of the horses graze in the paddock next to the campsite)


In the Village of Bashley there is a Village store and Post Office within walking distance.


A garage for the sale of Petrol, Diesel, Calor Gas, also servicing and repairs MOT etc .


There are two garden and plant centres,one of which Redcliffe Garden Center also has a Café.


Ther are also two  local farm Shops stocking a broad  range of products.


Sammy Miller's well known Motor Cycle Museum is a short distance away and also has a café serving a selection of meals and beverages.


The local hostelry "The Rising Sun" serves a good selection of food and drinks .


It is  two miles to the center of New Milton this is idealy placed with a good selection of shops . The Motorist Centre also stocks a good selection of camping and caravan equipment.


Supermarkets are Tesco,Morrison and Lidl, (Marks & Spencer, food opening April)  ( Aldi opening later in year)


New Milton is on the main railway line services to London Bournemouth.A good bus service is available to Christchurch, Bournemouth Poole or Lymington.

 

Lymington has a ferry service to  Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, and a good Saturday Market.


The nearest seaside is Barton on Sea .Highcliffe is a short distance away with Highcliffe Castle well worth a visit . Milford on Sea has good cliff top parking with views of the Isle of Wight and the needles.
